Where to take a license or record question
Get Married in NYC is a guide. Appointments, records and questions about your own documents go to the offices that handle them. For a license, ceremony, record, amendment or officiant registration, use the City Clerk's contact form or call 311 (212-639-9675 from outside the city, per NYC311); for a problem with an appointment, go through Project Cupid; for a marriage record from elsewhere in New York State, call NYS Department of Health Vital Records at 855-322-1022 (checked September 2026). If you run a wedding business and want to be listed, write in with your business name, the service you offer, the boroughs or nearby areas you serve and your public contact details, from an email address or phone number your business publishes.
